Lovin MyBlogLog

I am a fan of MyBlogLog. I’ve been slightly obsessing on it for the past few days, but the time has been worth it. I’ve really enjoyed reading other people’s blogs that share the same interest as me. It’s so much easier than searching for something in Google, then trying to find a relevant blog. I joined MyBlogLog back in August when I started blogging, but really didn’t start using it til a few days ago. Advice from the SEOH led me back there. To my pleasant surprise I already had 2 Community Members in my Recipe Community.

Off to London

We’re going to SES London in a few weeks. I am very excited to get back to Europe. I don’t know why anyone would ever leave there if they didn’t have to. Of everywhere I’ve traveled, I have to say my picks are London and New York. Of course, I am a city girl at heart. Living in London would be an experience of a lifetime. I’d have to learn to say things like flat and vat. Whatever vat is, I just saw that on the website of the hotel we are staying at. It’s not included in the cost of the room, whatever it is.

We are flying out on Air New Zealand. I’ve never flown that airline before, but the price was right and their website sold me. It was $300 cheaper to buy from their website than it would’ve been through Expedia which is what I normally use.

At any rate, the weather in London in Feb will be cold. Not as cold as New York in February though, so that will be nice. I’m bringing my camera, so I will be able to update my blog with some fun pictures. Hopefully I’ll meet some new SEO’s that I can add to my favorite peeps section.

Why Most Bloggers Are Complete Idiots

Neteller Pulls the Plug on U.S. Gambling

I think everyone new this day was coming, but I have to say, it came a lot quicker than I thought it would. Yesterday, the two founding shareholders of Neteller were arrested on money laundering charges. Today, Neteller announced that it was suspending all processing services for the U.S.

Even if the big players are successful at establishing new payment processors, the Feds will just start adding the new companies to a blacklist that gets distributed to U.S. banking institutions. When that happens, your bank will not allow you to transfer funds to any company on the list.

That will put the industry back to requiring players to send checks or money orders to fund their accounts. I’m sure diehard players will be willing to do that, but the average new player that gets sent to a gambling site via an affiliate won’t.

If you are someone still earning a living as a poker/gambling affiliate, I’d suggest you spend the rest of week looking for a new gig, or get busy boning up on Euro/Asian SEO.
