SEO Oktoberfest Charity Auction – Get your bid on!

We will be heading off to Pubcon next week and are really looking forward to getting away for a few days.  Things have been absolutely crazy and I am really looking forward to shutting down my computer.

Welcome to our 3 Dog Blog.  We are excited to launch our new site and look forward to adding blog posts that we hope you will find either informative or entertaining.

We are a week away from SMX West and will all be staying at the Hyatt. If you see us hanging out in the lobby, stop by and say hello.

Greg will be speaking on Thursday 2/28 at 1:30 in the SEO and Linking Track session and I will be making my speaking debut on Wednesday 2/27 at 1:30 in the SEO and Social Media Marketing session.  Am I nervous? I guess a bit, but I am also looking forward to it.

As always I will have my camera and plan to take many pictures of all of my favorite SEOs and hopefully some new friends that we have yet to meet.

Greg’s been tweeting (LOL) lately, so if you aren’t already following him, doing so before the conference might be a good idea.  You never know what scandal he’ll start in the Twitterverse and believe me, you won’t want to miss any tweets.  Ask anyone that was in Vegas at Pubcon about that.  Actually, just ask Rand.

I flew home on US Airways yesterday out of Portland through Vegas to LAX.  When I opened up my seat tray I found this…

This is the first time I have seen an ad on these seat trays, but really I think it’s a great idea.  It’s always challenging to try and find a new place to market your product and to an audience that will be paying attention.  This is perfect.  People often get sick on planes and here is a cold remedy that may help me out later.

I took two separate flights on US Airways yesterday and they both had the Zicam ad on the trays, so I imagine it’s only a matter of time before other companies jump on this bandwagon. 

Coincidently,  I was standing in the medicine aisle at the market after my flight because I came home to a sick child.  Yes, I did notice the Zicam (I didn’t buy it for my son), but I think next time I’m sick I will actually give it a try.

There was a time in my life when I would have not been caught dead without my Franklin Covey binder.  I had my life in that thing and lived and breathed by it.  

I am a huge fan of Dr. Covey and his philosophy.  Anyone that has been in business for a while most likely knows who he is and he has written several amazing books that have influenced how thousands of companies both big and small are run whether the employees know it or not.

And now…

He blogs!  On November 21st, Stephen Covey started blogging. It looks like he will be posting weekly on his blog and discussing topics related to what he knows best (life, business and leadership).  His topic last week was on ‘becoming the leader of your boss’.  Now that’s good stuff.  Who couldn’t use some tips on how to do that?  Even if you’re your own boss, you’re always going to answer to someone, whether it’s a client, board of directors, spouse, parent, etc.  The beauty about what Dr. Covey preaches is that you can apply it to how it relates to you.
