Danny Sullivan is the leader in the search industry. He heads the Search Engine Watch conference circuit and has a following that does not end. However, when you meet Danny, he is really so down to Earth. I love that about him. He is just a regular guy that shows up at 2 am with a box of Dunkin Donuts for everyone. He is easy to talk to and so friendly you’d never know he was the “king of search”. No wonder he is my husband’s mentor.
I spoke with Danny last week at the Yahoo party and told him about my blog. He said he would see if his wife Lorna would want to be a guest blogger. I would love that.
If you know baseball, you know the quote…”Speak softly, but carry a big stick”…that’s a great analogy of Danny. He is humble, yet so powerful.

Got something to say?

[...] At any rate, I was smiling all the way threw while reading Danny’s post this morning. Danny does a fantastic job of defending the industry that he had his hands in creating. In my previous post about Danny I mentioned that he “speaks softly, but carries a big stick”. Well, he just used his stick and yes it was a big one!
