We were able to go back home yesterday afternoon. But all the important stuff is still packed up just in case. We also had some friends who are right near the Canyon Country fire that started last night around 11:00. I think everything ended up ok, but it was intense for awhile. Everything is ok for us now. We were down in the Valley on Ventura facing west, and could see the clouds of smoke that were no doubt the Malibu area — but they stretched far to the right. Right now, the wind is blowing to the west, but unfortunately for the first time, I can smell smoke. Hope you and yours, and your house, are okay. I know what you mean, Greg. I heard about the fire up your way this morning but didnt realize it was so close! Hope you guys are doing ok. The fires seem to be everywhere!! Here in the valley you can't look in a direction without seeing some kind of smoke off in the horizon. My heart is out to you and the family.
