I flew home on US Airways yesterday out of Portland through Vegas to LAX.  When I opened up my seat tray I found this…

This is the first time I have seen an ad on these seat trays, but really I think it’s a great idea.  It’s always challenging to try and find a new place to market your product and to an audience that will be paying attention.  This is perfect.  People often get sick on planes and here is a cold remedy that may help me out later.

I took two separate flights on US Airways yesterday and they both had the Zicam ad on the trays, so I imagine it’s only a matter of time before other companies jump on this bandwagon.

Coincidently,  I was standing in the medicine aisle at the market after my flight because I came home to a sick child.  Yes, I did notice the Zicam (I didn’t buy it for my son), but I think next time I’m sick I will actually give it a try.

I noticed tray advertising a few weeks back on US airways as well. Don’t recall the ad, but it was a pleasant distraction from the cheesy holiday musak videos they were forcing everyone to watch. As for Zicam the product, I highly recommend it. I’m a TheraFlu and Airborne girl, but the few times I’ve braved the nasty feeling of Zicam it worked like a charm.

(Zicam should send you some free samples for talking about their product) ;-)

Usually when they do medicine advertisements on planes like JetBlue, they also give out free samples. Like on JetBlue you can get airborne.

I’m surprised this didn’t happen sooner. It is so simple.

Got something to say?
